Bio

Debra Nadelhoffer's paintings reflect an emotional response to her subject. Attracted by effects of light and atmosphere, she attempts to convey her impressions through the use of color and close attention to the play of light on surfaces. Her subject matter is varied, as she is equally fascinated with landscape, still life and the figure.

Debra has exhibited her work nationally and is honored to have her work in many private and corporate collections including those of Delta Faucets, Georgia Municipal Authority and United States Senator Johnny Isakson in Washington, DC. Most recently, she was commissioned by the Northeast Georgia Medical Center to do several large paintings for their new wing, the North Tower as part of the Nathan-Schrage Art Gallery.

Debra's work has been featured in national and international publications. Her oil and pastel paintings have been accepted into numerous exhibitions including Oil Painters of America Eastern 2009 Exhibition, American Society of Marine Artists 30th Anniversary Exhibition, various Pastel Society of America and Southeastern Pastel Society exhibits. She is currently the President of Plein Air Painters of Georgia, past-president and member of excellence of Southeastern Pastel Society, Signature Member of Degas Pastel Society, a member of American Society of Marine Artists and an Associate Member of Oil Painters of America.

Debra currently resides in Dawsonville, GA. She manages workshops for Albert Handell and Sally Strand in her area and has studied with various artists over the years. She teaches at Chastain Art Center in Atlanta, Georgia and conducts her own workshops throughout the year at scenic locations in the Southeast.
